Ellen is concerned that Gramps' absence from the local elections while he and the incumbent candidate for Animal Control go fishing instead will mean the other candidate - who hates dogs - will win the ballot for the area's animal catcher. When the votes get too close for comfort, Jeff and Porky, with the help of Lassie and Pokey, race to find Gramps before it is too late.
