Ragusa Ibla, the old town that clung precariously to the cliffside, had stolen Inday's heart. Every narrow cobbled street, every honey-colored Baroque building, whispered stories of a glorious past. Inday had spent the morning getting delightfully lost, her map tucked away in her purse. She'd stumbled upon hidden piazzas adorned with gushing fountains, peeked into tiny, art-filled churches, and been charmed by the scent of freshly baked cannoli wafting from local bakeries.

Earlier, she'd climbed the winding Scalinata di Santa Maria delle Scale, a monumental Baroque staircase adorned with statues of mythical creatures. The climb had been tiring, but the panoramic view from the top had been worth every bead of sweat. Sprawling below was a patchwork of terracotta rooftops, punctuated by the occasional church dome, all bathed in the warm Mediterranean light.

Now, with her legs pleasantly achy, Inday was savoring a scoop of gelato – pistachio, of course – and watching the world go by. A group of children chased pigeons in the square, their laughter echoing through the ancient streets. Elderly men sat sipping espresso, their faces weathered chronicles of Ragusa's long history. Inday felt a smile stretch across her face. Ragusa wasn't just a beautiful town; it was alive, vibrant, and utterly captivating.

As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the piazza, Inday knew it was time to move on. But tucked away in her memory, along with a hundred photographs, was the essence of Ragusa – a town that had woven its magic spell, leaving Inday yearning to return someday.
