At Metallica’s 40th Anniversary shows in San Francisco (Dec. 2021), they played tribute to a few sports teams that they have a special relationship with: the San Francisco Giants, the San Jose Sharks, the New York Yankees (Mariano Rivera)…and the Virginia Tech Hokies!
