'D-Day Stories From The Walls' explores Southampton’s D-Day or ‘American’ wall. It provides the background to Southampton port in WWII and the US soldiers who passed through the city, some leaving their inscribed details on the wall. Discover the techniques used to document the wall and the research which has revealed the fascinating and moving stories of the soldiers who made their mark before embarking to Europe. We also hear from volunteers involved in delivering the project about their experience and what it has mean to them.
