The Stranger was one of the several mystery elements of the show, and while I feel the resolution was super predictable and unsatisfying, the actor was perfectly cast and his dynamic with Nori was sweet. The theme for the character is one of my favorite themes in the entire show, and is an amazing piece of music for the mysterious meteor man. A six note pattern, usually played on an otherworldly, ethereal sounding metal bowl/drum opens the theme, creating an elusive quality that shows no sign of The Stranger's belonging or place. His main melody is usually played on a solo violin/cello, and portraying the wandering, lost soul that he is. It sounds mysterious and solemn, but also kind and gentle, flexible to however McCreary intends to use it for the given scene. While it may sound uneasy and wary, the theme's true colors show themselves as the show progresses, revealing it to be a grand, beautiful, gentle theme that befits the revelation of the lost Istari. His theme is one of my favorite themes in the whole time and the entire Lord of the Rings saga, a truly beautiful, complex, emotional theme that elevates the character and story to grander heights.
