What can you do to treat a sprained finger?

We go through our daily lives and things happen that we don’t even realize was an injury, until it starts hurting and you wonder “what happened here?”.

I sprained my middle finger once and I didn’t even realize it, until it was achy non-stop. Turns out, my finger had gotten caught on a grocery bag, pulled it to the side, and hurt in that one particular moment.

Then the pain stopped.

So I didn’t give it another thought until 3 weeks later when I started feeling that middle finger every time it would bump into anything.

That’s usually what happens with finger sprains or strains. It’s perfectly normal not to even remember or know wha happened except that i’s hurting now.

What can you do about a sprained finger?

Well…sprains are injuries to the ligaments around your finger. It holds bone to bone and it’s what helps give stability to your fingers so you can make a fist and open your hands.

When it’s mild, you feel it but can still use your hands.

When it’s moderately sprained or torn, it will start to become more painful and you can’t get rid of how achy it feels

When it’s severe, you would really know because you can’t use it at all, it hurts too much.

Here are some ways in which you can treat a sprained finger.
