Learn how to work with bugle beads to weave a simple single brick stitch pattern, with building the brick on both sides of the foundation row to make a diamond shape. This video is meant to help you get acquainted with using bugle beads, and to create a single bead foundation row. It is also an introductory to a creating an earring that would use fringe along the bias edge of a woven piece.

All items were purchased locally from Sea of Beads in Austin, TX.

*Bulge Beads; size 11 featured in video
*Beading Needles; size 10, tulip
*Big Eye Needle: (BEADSMITH PREFERRED); short for weaving in ends
*Thread; I prefer polyethylene (fireline or widlfire)
*Chain Nose Pliers
*Scissors
*Lighter for cleaning up stragglers (as shown, please ask for help from an adult if a minor, always exercise caution)
*Ear Wires: gold-filled featured but sterling, plated and hypoallergenic wires are suggested... anything nickel-free should be safe
*6 mm SOLDERED jumprings; I cannot stress how important it is to use soldered or "closed" jumprings for this application.
*Bead Mat

I have since figured out why the video formatted the way it did (in a small square as opposed to the full screen version), but I hope this will suffice for learning purposes. Please bear with me as I am still getting a handle on the backend of things... it's the wild wild west out here on the internet and in tech universe, and I am but an analog girl in a digital world.
