This is an Oriya Song written by the poet Salbeig. Salbeig was a Muslim poet who was denied entry into the temple of Lord Jagannath. He waits outside the huge gates of the temple and tries to seek Darshan of the Lord. When the gates open, he sees the Lord and asks him, “Oh Lord, You, who have so much mercy on Gajaraj and on Draupadi how do You discriminate me from them? I am as much a devotee of You and I surrender my total self at Your lotus feet and ask You to release my pain and suffering."

Salbeig was a victim of leprosy who worshipped the Lord with devotion of a complete Bhakta.
