His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu led the ground breaking ceremony of the construction of the Calabar-Ogoja Railway Lines.

The youngest Deputy Governor in Nigeria, Rt Hon Peter Odinga was also on ground to provide support for this people oriented project.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof A Owan Enoh, Honorable Members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners and His Excellency's friends and well wishers were all on ground as he performed the ground breaking.
