Get ready for a worldschooling adventure like no other as The Travel Show family finally boards the world's longest flight! ✈️ Our 18-hour marathon on Singapore Airlines was full of surprises, bumps, and a whole lot of learning (and not just for the kids)! Here’s how it all went down:

🌅 Early Morning at Newark Airport - We arrived bright and early, with enough time to squeeze in some homeschooling before the big flight. Because what better way to kick off a worldschooling journey than by hitting the books in an airport lounge?

🛫 Boarding the Beast - The plane was massive, and we were thrilled to find an entire row to ourselves! We immediately started exploring the aircraft because who could resist? The kids were on a mission to find all the best spots (and maybe sneak a peek at first class).

🍽️ In-Flight Dining, Singapore Style - First meal on board: check! Thanks to the pre-order app, the kids enjoyed some Asia-inspired chicken fingers, while we dined on beef and chicken dishes that didn’t disappoint. And let’s not forget the dessert—yummy treats paired with a smooth cup of coffee and a glass of wine to top it off. Cheers to flying in style!

🛬 Turbulence over Kazakhstan - Just when we were getting comfy, the plane decided to show us who’s boss with some severe turbulence. All meals were delayed, and then they woke us up for food in the middle of the night while everyone else was snoozing. Talk about a rude awakening!

📺 TV Troubles & Sleepless Hours - The real kicker? The three rows in front and behind us lost power—no TV, no lights, nada. For the next 10 hours, we were stuck with nothing to watch, nothing to do. If this isn’t the perfect time to teach the kids the value of patience, I don’t know what is! I managed to snag maybe an hour of sleep… maybe.

🎫 Voucher Victory - Kudos to Singapore Airlines, though—they came through with some hefty vouchers for the inconvenience. Not a bad consolation for our TV-less, sleep-deprived journey!

🛬 Touchdown in Singapore - We finally landed in Singapore, and wow, the airport was spotless! But just as we thought our journey was over, Mark got held up at security. After a brief hiccup (and some tense moments), they let him go, and we headed to our hotel, which smelled like heaven on Earth.

🏨 Room with a View - Our hotel room had a stunning view of the Marina Bay Sands, the perfect backdrop as we tried to shake off the jet lag. Finally, we crashed into bed, ready to catch up on some much-needed sleep before the next leg of our worldschooling adventure begins!
