In the remote village of Bang Bala, nestled amidst rugged mountains and meandering rivers, resides Saeedullah Jan, a labourer whose unwavering spirit stands resilient against life's formidable challenges. After an unforeseen illness befell his family, Saeedullah was mounted with medical expenses—a burden that Saeedullah shouldered through accrued debt.

With support from the Socio-Economic Development Programme (SEDP), an initiative of the Ismaili Council for Pakistan, and firm determination, he managed to alleviate his financial burden while ensuring his children's education and meeting his mother's medical needs.

SEDP, aims to uplift marginalized communities living in the mountainous regions of Pakistan from the generational cycle of poverty. The programme provides financial support and economic opportunities to help vulnerable families and individuals like Saeedullah Jan become self-reliant for a better future.
