Costa Rica Independence Day Celebrations 2024 in Uvita Costa Rica. We watch as the torch enters the town to celebrate the Independence of Costa Rica. Traditional Tipico dancers with the colorful clothes entertain the audience with their well practiced dancing. The Children make colorful lanterns which become the focus of a celebration in the salon communal as they turn out the lights. We follow the parade go the Uvita School with the children once again showing us the traditional ways.

The parade advances, with childrens feet.
Banners waving high and free
For Costa Rica and all to see.
From young to old, they line the way
