Yagya means "sacrifice, devotion, worship, offering", and refers in Hinduism to any ritual done infront of a sacred fire, often with mantras. Yagya has been a Vedic tradition, described in a layer of Vedic literature called Brahmanas as well as Yajurveda.
The tradition has evolved from offering oblations and libations into sacred fire to symbolic offerings in the presence of sacred fire (Agni).
A “Vishwa Shanti Yagya” was organised by the Atma Kutir Ashram in month of December every year. Pandits generally take 5 days to complete the yagya. Invitations are sent by Ashram to yogi's, baba's and other ashram's. The aim of this Yagya is to bring the happiness and peace in our world. Let's be a part of this holy event.
