～Line Introduction～
The line runs from Nagatsuta Station through Nagatsuta Minamidai, Kirigaoka, and Wakabadai Danchi to Wakabadai Chuo, located in the center of Wakabadai Danchi.
This route was established on August 1, 2002. Originally, on December 17, 2001, Kanachu Bus started running the Nagatsuta No. 03 line from Nagatsuta Station to Koen-mae, but due to the completion of road maintenance near the Genkaida Ohashi Bridge, the line was extended to Wakabadai Chuo and jointly operated by the municipal bus company and Kanachu Bus. Because of this, it became the last remaining sectional fare route for municipal buses.
Since the rotary at Nagatsuta Station is narrow and many cars and cabs enter and exit the rotary during weekday morning and evening hours, the buses bound for Nagatsuta Station are bound for Nagatsuta Station Entrance and terminate at the Miyuki-dori bus stop on the Kannachu Bus Nagatsuta No. 01 line (Nagatsuta Station - Minami Machida Granberry Park Station), 150 meters from the station. The buses bound for Wakabadai-Chuo depart from the Nagatsuta Station Entrance bus stop, which is exclusively for the No. 40 line.
As of June 30, 2023, the city bus service will cease and all services will be operated by Kanachu Bus, which will also reduce the number of services and increase the price by up to 30 yen.
