I'm not a teacher but I want to share some basic information on how to turn a mini PC into a cyberdeck tablet. It's a fun DIY project and the reward is an upgradeable and customizeable machine far beyond any other tablet or laptop.

Beelink SER6 6900HX Mini PC 32GB RAM adn 500GB SSD
8x 18650 3.7V 2850-3150mAh cells spot welded together to a 4S2P configuration
1x 4S BMS with balancing
1x IP2368 USB C PD 100W module
1x 5.5x2.5mm barrel jack
1x XY-P15W Bluetooth speaker controller (test it to make sure you don't get a talkative controller)
4x 35x16mm laptop speakers
1x step down converter
1x Wisecoco 8.9 inch 2560x1600 IPS display with touchscreen and controller
1x pair of 8db IPEX compatible antenna
1x pair of replacement nintendo joycon rails
2x toggle button switches (one for lcd controller and one for speakers)
miscellaneous screws, 18awg wire, 24awg wire
