TWs: blood/violence

It's nearing Prince Alaric Alohnsohn's coming of age night, a vigil where royal children are tasked with guarding the castle on their own (in Alaric's case, alongside their brother) for one night. Normally this would be a time for celebration within the royal family. For the past year, however, the Alohnsohns have been afflicted by what many call a curse. Vines sprout from the afflicted's body and threaten to consume them entirely. Alaric, seeing this as a curse delivered by the gods, turns on his devout family in an attempt to sever all connections between him and the gods -- as well as the curse.

The last third of this animatic is referenced directly from a short story I wrote about this night! It's from Alaric's sister, Lorraine's, point of view :]
