Morehead City/Harker's Fishing: Lizardfish, Stingray, Speckled Trout: A massive new bridge is being constructed to replace drawbridge en route to Harker's Island. I fished here back in 2011 for the only time and caught a trout or bluefish then, can't remember (springtime). I used my cast net and caught a nice stingray on minnows. Caught a lizardfish early at morehad pier. I went to Fort Macon jetty rocks for about an hour after MHC pier and caught nothing, got cold, so got something to eat then drove 30 minutes east to Straits right before Harker's Island. It was 39 degrees when I started out fishing at 730am, got up to low 50's in afternoon at Straight's fishing pier.
