This was a really fun day, and a great way to commemorate completing another lap of the sun. I finally conquered some steeper black runs at Kirkwood, riding the Cornice Express (Chair 6) for the first time.

Sometimes skiing requires a lot of thought and planning. But when what you're contending with isn't a technical challenge, but an emotional one (steepness), you have to commit to turning off your brain, because all it's doing is making you paralyzed.

I felt extremely accomplished after this exceptionally fun day on the slopes!
