When speaking of Nakasendo, Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku are well-known among tourists, but Narai-juku is also worth a visit. Narai-juku is the 34th post town from Edo and the 36th from Kyoto along the Nakasendo trail. It is the longest post town in Japan, stretching about 1 kilometer (3,280 feet). On the way, you can experience a variety of scenery, including areas with preserved traditional buildings and others that have been transformed into modern houses.
