💪 Empowering #MySMRT for inclusive journeys! 💓 Recently, #SMRT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agency for Integrated Care - AIC Singapore (AIC) to further enhance the inclusivity of our network 🚆🚍, particularly for persons living with dementia (PWDs). 👵🧓 We have since embarked on mental wellness training by AIC, to equip our frontline staff with essential skills to assist commuters in need and their caregivers. 🥰
Since 2017, SMRT has been collaborating closely with AIC 🤝 to roll out dementia-friendly efforts under the Dementia-Friendly Singapore (DFSG) initiative. ✨ These include:
📍 All SMRT bus interchanges and MRT stations listed as Dementia Go-To points
👌 More than 3000 SMRT frontline staff have received training
🪑 Specially designed "kindness seats" in our stations and bus interchanges to promote gracious commuting behaviour
