Painting name: Golden Horizon
Painting Size: 12” x 16”
Oil on Cotton Canvas

Welcome to my second oil painting journey! In this piece, I’ve experimented with linseed oil as my primary medium, resulting in rapid drying times of less than 24 hours per layer. However, I’ve noticed that the colors tend to dry darker than anticipated. As I continue to explore different methods and mediums, I’m on a quest to discover the ideal painting process. Join me as I navigate through this artistic journey and share my experiences with you. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates!

About me:
As a self-taught artist, I have always had a passion for drawing, especially with pencils during my younger years and throughout high school. However, as life took its course, I drifted away from painting, longing to return but unsure of where to begin. Then, in July 2023, I made a pivotal decision to invest in high-end colored pencils and quality papers, hopeful that starting with small drawings would offer solace amidst life's challenges. Little did I know that this journey would reignite my passion for painting, allowing me to rediscover the joy and fulfillment it brings to my life.

Oil Paint: Gamblin Artist Oil
Brushes: Princeton Aspen, Winsor & Newton Monarch, Winsor & Newton Artist’s Oil Synthetic Hog Brushes
