The story is about Kunti, a girmitiya woman who refuses to succumb to the atrocities of girmit and takes steps to approach Pandit Totaram Sanadhya to seek his help. She assures him that she will stay strong and won't become weak at any cost.
Pandit Totaram Sanadhya, inspired by her courage, decides to have her story published in Bharatmitra, an Indian newspaper as he strongly believes that in order to stop the atrocities of Girmit, India will need to be awakened to the situation of Girmitiyas in the British colonies.
The story is published and spreads like fire all over India and every section of the Indian society demands for the end of the cruel system.
