The singer/crooner Michael Holliday (real name: Norman Alexander Milne) sadly died from a self-administered drugs overdose late in 1963. This broadcast - Holliday With Strings - from 1961 demonstrates admirably why the quality of his voice was favourably compared to that of Bing Crosby at the time.
