In this video, we are doing a really fun trip from Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda, Florida over to Pelican Pass and Pelican Bay located on the beautiful island of Cayo Costa in Southwest Florida, just west of Cape Coral and Punta Gorda. Cayo Costa is a boat access only State Park island located just minutes away from Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, and Pine Island here in Southwest Florida. We catch several fish and relax with other locals and visitors on this fun sandbar! Cayo Costa State Park is one of our favorite beach trips in the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Punta Gorda area. Since it is boat accessible only, you can get a huge chuck of the island to yourself, and feel like you are on an 'Old Florida Deserted Island'. This is what Florida looked like 400+ years ago. Pelican Bay tends to stay busier than other parts of the island, but for good reason. It is a magical place to visit and one that I hope you get the chance to experience.
