The Firelands High School Mighty Falcon Marching Band takes the field for halftime in our first show against Edison High School.

Announcements are below.

Falcon Friends, Family and Fans, we are proud to introduce the Pride of Firelands High School, the 2024 Mighty Falcon Marching Band!

[AFTER RUN ON]

Our first song by the group FUN is about sacrifices made to succeed in music. For tonight’s performance, we pay homage to all the hard work this group of kids did throughout the summer, three challenging weeks of band camp, countless hours of practice, and years developing our skills as musicians to prepare us for THIS NIGHT. Some nights you have to work instead of playing, but tonight we will be playing to show you our hard work. Please welcome junior field commander Logan Parker conducting Some Nights.

[SOME NIGHTS]

Our next piece was released in 1966 by the Rolling Stones and is apparently about home decorating as it encourages people to see a red door and darken it. Featuring our incredible color guard and the grooving power of the MFMB. Please welcome senior field commander Emmarose Woods conducting Paint it Black.

[PAINT IT BLACK]

We’d love to remind all our fans here to stick around for the traditional post game drum show right behind the home stands.

As we close our first show featuring music about the night, we move into the world of dreams. Here with the MFMB, we dream about being in tune, marching in step, and somehow getting our marching band music out of our heads when we’re trying to sleep. Featuring a Baritone solo by senior Connor Braden, please welcome back Emmarose Woods conducting the Aerosmith hit, DREAM ON.

[DREAM ON]

(As the band leaves the field) The 2024-5 Mighty Falcon Marching Band is under the direction of Mr. Dustin K. Wiley, director of bands at FHS, flag advisor Emily Parker, percussion advisor Kyle Lutz, percussion arranger and advisor, Liam Lockhart, assistant directors Cinda Willis and Becca Hopklins, and I’m your announcer, assistant director Jake Willis. We would like to congratulate the Charger Band for a great performance tonight and …GO FALCONS!!!
