This shows the restoration project and then shows the layout in action with cars unloading, uncoupling, switching, reversing, single train, and two train operation. My grandfather built this O gauge layout in the 1950's and I rebuilt and restored it in 2013. The small (5 X 8) layout features two reversing loops and a siding where trains wait for each other to pass. The auto-running is controlled using WWII Navy surplus radio relays.

The Lionel engines and cars used in this layout are:

736 Berkshire
205 Missouri Pacific
3359 Twin Bin Coal Dump Car
6560 Bucyrus Erie Crane Car
3562-50 Operating Barrel Car
3494-275 State of Maine Operating Box Car
6162 New York Central Gondola Car
6414 Auto Loader Car
6119-100 D.L.&W. Work Caboose

If you watched this video and you've read the description this far you might want to look me up on eBay! I have many Lionel O gauge trains available, and if you mention this video, I'll give you a 10% discount!
