In this Episode you can see me find some wonderful things from the Frisian soil! An early medieval Anglo Saxon Sceat or maybe it is better to call it a Danish sceat. They think these type of sceats were made in Ribe, Denmark in the 8th Century. And I found a silver Roman coin from Emperor Trajan 98-117 A.D. I've sent that coin away for a professional cleaning, now we have to wait a couple of weeks to see the result! 😎👍🍀 I also found a tiny head of the Roman God Bacchus. This is from the 18th Century when Bacchus made some sort of revival in the Art scene back then. I also found a silver dime of King Willem II from the Netherlands and a silver stuiver (nickel) from Friesland 1623.
And last but not least I found a couple of medieval Carolingian disc brooches. One of these brooches was a real stunner, it is red enameled. This beauty is from somewhere around the 10th Century!
One of my best months ever! Hope you like it, and if you like it; Please feel free to subscribe!
