🙌The Garden of Destiny is an ensemble of monumental landscape architecture on the Daugava peninsula in Koknes. The garden, designed by the Japanese environmental architect Shunmyo Masuno, is created as a metaphor for a choral suite consisting of a prelude and six parts.The Garden of Destiny is located in a place important to the history of Latvia, near the Koknese castle ruins and the Koknese Lutheran Church on Daugava Island, which was created after the construction of the Plavinu reservoir in 1965. From the 11th to the 17th century, the old town of Koknese was intermittently located in the west of the island, at the current location of Krievkalns. A fragment of the old Riga-Daugavpils highway has also been preserved on the island. At the western end of the island, near the viewing platform under the water, there are the foundations of the Koknese Orthodox Church (exploded during the construction of Plavinu HPP), while across the bay you can see the site of the Koknese manor castle (destroyed by German artillery fire during the First World War).🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Likteņdārzs ir monumentālās ainavu arhitektūras ansamblis uz Daugavas pussalas Koknesē. Dārzu pēc japāņu vides arhitekta Šunmjō Masuno projekta veido kā koru svītas metaforu, kas sastāv no prelūdijas un sešām daļām.Likteņdārzs atrodas Latvijas vēsturei nozīmīgā vietā netālu no Kokneses pilsdrupām un Kokneses luterāņu baznīcas uz Daugavas salas, kas radusies pēc Pļaviņu ūdenskrātuves izveides 1965. gadā. No 11. līdz 17. gadsimtam salas rietumos, tagadējā Krievkalna vietā, ar pārtraukumiem atradās Kokneses senpilsēta. Uz salas saglabājies arī vecās Rīgas—Daugavpils šosejas fragments. Salas rietumu galā pie skatu platformas zem ūdens atrodas Kokneses pareizticīgo baznīcas pamati (saspridzināta Pļaviņu HES būvniecības laikā), bet pāri līcim redzama Kokneses muižas pils vieta (sagrauta vācu artilērijas apšaudēs Pirmā pasaules kara laikā).🙌
