Driving a team car in a race convoy can be a hair raising experience - from the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix to the narrow mountain roads of the Giro, all the while directing a team of cyclists. Team Sky took their Jaguar team cars on to the race track to refine their driving skills in pursuit of marginal gains, and GCN were there to film them.

The list of responsibilities of a Directeur Sportif during a race is extensive. The listen to two radios, talk to the riders, feed the riders, entertain sponsors, provide mechanical service, determine race tactics, all while driving in the chaos that is a race convoy.

In typical Team Sky "no stone unturned" philosophy, their directeur sportifs went on an advanced driving course at the Jaguar performance centre. Dan Hunt and Marcus Ljungqvist learned how to handle the cars in the most difficult of circumstances with a certain Martin Brundle at the helm, and GCN were there to document it.
