WARNING!

This MacOS upgrade leaves customers with fewer features!

If you have QuickTime 7 Pro and upgrade to MacOS Catalina, then the handy Pro video app from Apple will stop working. Why? Because QuickTime Pro 7 is a 32 bit app and MacOS Catalina is Apple's first OS to abandon 32 bit app support. Oh, you say, Apple must have a replacement that works with the new all 64 bit OS. Well, there's QuickTime 10, but it doesn't have all the features that QuickTime Pro 7 did. The first clue is that 10 drops the "Pro" moniker and along with that, all of the audio layering features of QuickTime Pro 7. Why didn't Apple provide a 64 bit upgrade for QuickTime Pro 7? I've talked to Apple Support on numerous occasions and they have no answer to this question. That's why I've created this video as a visual testament of what QuickTime Pro 7 is capable of and what we lose by switching to 64 bit OS and Quicktime 10.
