How rich and diverse is folk culture, music and arts ? Why is folk losing its importance and why is important to preserve the folk art ? A story to be told is a journey to be experienced ! Sunil Rana, shares that the richness of any folk music/art lies in the depth of its culture and the diversity of each folk culture is well expressed through music and arts ! Today he imagines to bridge the gap between the native lands and the international communities and sees how a platform like TEDXDharamsala could bring one’s dream into a reality.

Sunil Rana, an artist by passion and profession, has spend most of his life on the himalayan foothills and is one of the indigenous artist who brought some limelight to the Gaddi Tribe through his folk songs. His integrity lies in the taste of original dialect in his songs. His initial audition to voice out on All India Radio channel, lead him to reach out a larger crowd who recognised his style and the essence of his songs !
