Yeah hi, as most of you know the new nillumbik contract commencing with JJ Richards (now JJs waste) happened on the first of July. A fleet of new Volvo’s were brought in to do the green wedge shire

In this video you see 2 of the 15? Something new trucks they have running around in the shire on garbage Organics and recycling

First we see #19CP driven by Paul a former Remondis driver for the darebin recycle contract who I filmed a few years ago, we see him doing recycling on the first day of the contract on a Wednesday in Eltham then him doing garbage today in the afternoon also in Eltham on a Wednesday. Due to the way councils bins gets done (Greens weekly garbage and recycling fortnightly) they is no A and B area too so the recycling/garbage trucks do recycling on recycling week and garbage on garbage week greens stay the same

We see #19BM doing Organics in Eltham in the morning on the 1st of July driven by a friendly driver

Changes:
They are changes with bin sizes as now you can het 240L Organics bins and 360L recycling and a bigger garbage (I think) the 240 Organics is very popular now they are heaps around as nillumbik are very good recyclers.

Trucks have to go off via J track and JJs system so they can’t move stuff like nillumbik council used to do so all the trucks actually have their own run and waste streams

Thankfully the little GRO 07 ACCO GenV surprisingly still lives on and is a spare truck for the council as they still do the litter bins I will film it in future and litter bins too.
