Following the ecumenical prayer vigil "Together," organized by Taizé and various Christian communities, the Taizé Community has been asked to prepare another ecumenical prayer for the second session of the Synod's General Assembly. The first vigil, held on 30 September 2023, gathered 18,000 people in St. Peter’s Square, including Pope Francis and over 20 Church leaders, before the Synod's first session. The upcoming prayer, scheduled for 11 October 2024, will take place near St. Peter’s Basilica, involving Pope Francis, Synod participants, fraternal delegates from other Churches, and local ecumenical representatives, though it will be closed to the public.
