Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. AIAI, an investment development company for Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, plans to invest in more special energy zones in Cambodia. This is according to a recent press release from the Council for the Development of Cambodia. In the press release stated that on September 4, 2024, HE Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Board of Investment of Cambodia and his colleagues met with the delegation of AIAI and the delegation of China Finergy Engineering Group Yonnan Electric Power Design Institute Co. , Ltd. (Energy China YNPD) led by Mr. Le Wei, Chairman of AIAI.



During the meeting, Lu Wei said that the purpose of the discussion was to inform the preliminary study project on the development of special energy zones in collaboration with Energy China YNPD, a Chinese company established in 1958 and Specializes in electrical power. The special energy zone project will also include solar power generation, Biones, wind power and energy storage.



In that, HE Secretary General expressed his support for the company's investment projects and requested the company to have a detailed discussion with the Ministry of Mines and Energy before applying for investment at the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
