Yes, after years of pleading, I let Isfaque fly on a micro light aircraft yesterday and just as he flew away I instantly regretted the decision. I almost had a panic attack and the moment his flight went out of sight, I ran to buy myself a cup of coffee and silently kept praying.
What the hell was I thinking 😨
But when he landed after some time and I saw him make the pilot click his photos with the plane, I burst out laughing and knew it must have been an amazing experience.. He also got a certificate of flying.. How amazing is that right 😍
And then came the part, when I realised I was next and would be flying in the next 30 mins or so.. Guess what, the panic struck harder this time, especially when he mentioned how the plane shakes because of its super light weight.. This time I ran away to the washroom.. That's always been my thing whenever I am nervous 😂
Now, I was expecting Kevin, the experienced-looking pilot to fly me as well because he successfully flew Isfaque but I was going to be with Adam, who looked very young and I was like what the hell am I doing here.. I don't even want to fly on a microlight.. And being my introverted self, when he asked if I was ready to go with him, I said "Yes sure !!"
I was shit scared but I did it anyway .. It was scary at first, but the moment we were in the air, it felt amazing and I felt like I was living in a movie, a bucket list thing ticked which wasn't even on my bucket list.. Thanks to my persuasive husband @syedisfaque , a very capable young pilot and instructor Adam and @scottishaeroclub and @albaairsports for organising everything so seamlessly..
