New Amsterdam Travel Video- Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia is Heaven on Earth. Nestled in a series of canyons between green mountains, the park is known for its beautiful blue-green colored lakes and large number of impressive waterfalls. It's beauty will take your breath away. The waterfalls are connected by a network of trails that are mostly built over the lakes themselves. Walking over these wooden planks across these colorful pools gets you as close to the water as possible. And there are even boats that transport you across one of the bigger lakes to various trail points. The experience is truly immersive as you can get very close to most all of the falls and there are other trails that help you explore other parts of the park as well. I have never seen so many waterfalls in one place. Definitely a unique place in the world which was worth the 4 hour car ride from Rovinj, Istria.
