IVF success rate को बढ़ाने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण factors होते है :
1. Pre-Treatment
2. Hormonal Injections
3. Ovum Pick-Up
4. Laboratory Procedure
5. Embryo Transfers

ये समझना बोहोत जरुरी है IVF का average success rate हमेशा ३५-४०% के बीच में होता है। बोहोत मेहनत के बाद भी ४०% के ऊपर जाना थोड़ा सा मुश्किल है। जब कोई भी जोड़ा IVF consulting करता है , तब डॉक्टर उनसे Pre-Treatment में कई investigations करवा लेते है।

Male fertility के Investigations (testing) में से सबसे महत्वपूर्ण होता है :
Semen Analysis: जिसपे ३०-४०% IVF success rate निर्भर रहता है। Semen Analysis में Count , Motility और Normal forms की जांच की जाती है। अगर आपके कोई भी पैरामीटर्स थोड़े बोहोत ऊपर-निचे है तो डॉक्टर medical management या supportive therapy सलाह देंगे ताकि count बढ़ाने के लिए ताकि हम mature तरीकेसे उसका उपयोग करे।

Female Fertility के Investigations / tests में से २ सबसे महत्वपूर्ण चीज़ो की जांच की जाती है।
१. Sonography : जिसको Internal / vaginal sonography या pelvic ultrasound कहा जाता है। डॉक्टर्स ज्यादातर यह sonography 3D में करने की सिफारिश करते है ताकि Uterus और Egg की स्थिति जान पाए। 3D Sonography में काफी अच्छे। तरीकेसे जानकारी मिलती है जिससे IVF Success Rate बढ़ने केलिए।

२. Hormonal Evaluations : इसमें कई Tests शामिल हैं पर ऐसे तीन tests है जिससे IVF success rate से काफी लेना देना है जैसे की AMH (anti mullerian hormone), TSH (Thyroid Test ) और Prolactin. ये तीनो ऐसे टेस्ट्स है जिसका Periods के साथ कोई परस्पर सम्बन्ध नहीं रहता। ये तीनो टेस्ट्स आप निर्धारित समय पे कर सकते हो। ऐसे भी होर्मोनेस होते है जिनके टेस्ट्स के लिए एक समय सीमा होती है जैसे की FSH और LH।
