Audio notetaking using a standalone, offline dictaphone (voice recorder) is a really fun and engaging way to capture thoughts and ideas. I find that I am free to just say what I want (speaking out loud can sometimes generate more ideas, etc.), and then listen back to take action or to write down the salient points in my journal or other notebook.

I use a dictaphone pretty much every day in some capacity for either work or play. Usually when my hands are tied, so to speak, or if I'm not in the mood to write at that particular time. There are many uses, and in this video, I share a number of ways recording audio notes on a standalone, offline dictaphone can be hugely beneficial.
