The Trujillo Massacre is a sequence of enforced disappearances, torture, selective homicides, arbitrary and massacre detentions, of a generalized and systematic nature, that occurred in the municipalities of Trujillo, RiofrĂo and BolĂvar between 1986 and 1994, with a total of 342 victims, perpetrated for a regional and temporary alliance between the criminal structures of drug traffickers Diego Montoya, Henry Loaiza, and state security forces such as the Police and the Army, whose main criminal design was counterinsurgent.
