Phil flying a DK "beat" - the lightest PPG at the time. Made in Japan. 45lbs. The video was shot in the mid 90's on Long Island, New York.
Boxer engine - 27" propellor. I changed the prop twice and logged about 400 hours between the two. This tiny nano power plant never let me down. Too bad the company folded. They were ahead of their time when the average Paramotor weighed about 60lbs dry and up to over 80lbs. It was great for thermaling. Side canes, had not yet been invented. Most PPG were using "J-Bars" over the shoulders or high harness attachment points to compensate for the engine weight.
