If you are experiencing hair loss and need a consultation, we have a resource on the website where you can find a doctor by location: https://ishrs.org/find-a-doctor/

In this video, Dr. Parsa Mohebi explains the relationship between Testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and hair loss. DHT is a potent androgenic hormone derived from testosterone that plays a key role in the development and maintenance of male sexual characteristics and is also associated with various physiological processes in both males and females.

DHT is linked to hair loss because it binds to hair follicles, leading to their gradual miniaturization and shortened growth cycles, ultimately resulting in the thinning and eventual loss of hair in individuals genetically predisposed to this process, especially in conditions like androgenetic alopecia (male-pattern baldness and female-pattern baldness).

Note: Herbal DHT blockers haven’t been proven to be as effective as Finasteride. So it is always best to discuss this with your doctor.
