Ingredients

Puttu Podi -1cup
salt-
Boiling Water -1 1/4 cup
Luke warm water - as needed
Grated coconut-6tbsp
Fennel seeds -1/4tsp
Cumin seeds -1/2tsp
Shallots -4

Method

Take 1 glass of puttu powder in a bowl add some salt. Mix well. Add 1 ¼ glass hot water and make a dough. Close it for 10 mins and keep aside. With the help of some more water knead the dough to a soft texture. Knead for 5 – 8 mins.

Take a small bowl of the mixie, add 6 tbsp grated coconut, shallots , cumin seeds and fennel seeds. Gently crush it. Keep aside. Mix it with the dough. Knead for some time so that it is mixed well.

Make small balls and roll/press it to a poori shaped. It should not be too thin. Then we have to fry it. When the roti bubbles up we have to turn it. Fry it till it is light brown. Remove it to kitchen tissue.
