I want to know if you are having problems with fungus on the leaves of your plants, if you have been experiencing root rot or some other fungal problem, yes?

So I will teach you how to combat these problems using hydrogen peroxide, what is the right way to use it, what not to do to avoid harming the plant instead of helping it and how it can be used to prevent fungi and bacteria.

The hydrogen peroxide that we can use on our plants is the same hydrogen peroxide used to clean wounds, and not that used to bleach hair or other aesthetic purposes. It needs to be 10 volume hydrogen peroxide and cannot be the creamy option.

But after all, what is it for?

Scientific studies have shown that hydrogen peroxide is beneficial mainly to combat fungi and bacteria on plant leaves in the initial stages, to combat fungi on plant roots that cause rot, and also helps in the germination of seeds and rooting of seedlings as it prevents the appearance of fungi and other pests in these early stages.

Before I tell you how to dilute and apply hydrogen peroxide, I want to give you 5 warnings about what you shouldn't do:

1 - Never apply any type of syrup if the plant is receiving sunlight. Always apply it at the end of the day to avoid burning the leaves.

2 - Taking a higher dosage than recommended, or using the pure product will not speed up the results and could kill the plant. Remember that the difference between medicine and poison is the quantity, so always take the recommended dosage.

3 - The sooner we identify the problem and start applying it, the better the results will be. So keep an eye on your plants: spots on the leaves, mold, rust, rotten stems or roots, the sooner they are discovered the greater the chances of saving the plant with hydrogen peroxide.

4 - We will only be able to combat fungi or pests if we reapply the product. Using it once will not bring any results. It is recommended to apply hydrogen peroxide once a week or every 3 to 4 days until 100% of the problem is eliminated.

5 - There is nothing miraculous. There is no point in applying the syrup and continuing to grow the plant the wrong way. We need to act in different ways, that is, in addition to applying the syrup to combat fungi or pests, we need to cultivate our plants correctly. Watering and lighting according to the plant's preference, well-ventilated environments, correct substrates that allow water drainage and well-nourished plants are part of the combo to achieve a more effective result.

REVENUE
You will need a sprayer, tap water and 10 volumes of hydrogen peroxide that you buy in pharmacies.

As I have a lot of plants, I usually make the recipe for 1 liter of water, but you can make half the recipe if you prefer. I prefer to make the syrup and use it within a maximum of 2 days for greater effectiveness, so don't decide to make a large quantity if you aren't going to use it.

For every 1 liter of water, add 4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide.

Put it in the sprayer to apply to your plants.

HOW TO USE
If the plant has fungus on its leaves, apply the solution directly to the spots, but you can also apply it to the back of the leaves and on top of the substrate.

If the plant is showing rot in the roots or stem, you can water it with this solution. Remember that this problem is the result of excessive watering, so reduce watering and only apply this solution if it is time to water the plant.

For new seedling pots, you can spray the solution on the plant and soil and this will prevent the proliferation of fungi and diseases.

If you have separated the clump or carried out radical pruning, you can also spray this spray. This can be done once a week as a prevention.

And if you cut a branch to make a cutting, you can leave it immersed in this solution for approximately 15 minutes to avoid any subsequent contamination of the wound.
