Marvel's Secret Wars for better or worse is one of the most popular Marvel stories of all time, so much so that they're making a live action film about it. DC's equivalent would likely be Crisis on Infinite Earth's considering both of these stories are heavy on multiversal implications. I however, wanted to make this story more about the jealousy and hatred of humanity, which inevitably leads to secret wars on multiple planets.
