Today I test out my new $134 summit racing high torque mini starter against my old rebuilt gm chevy starter.

I've ran the old chevy starter for years now and it has slowly been starter slower and slower and now almost doesn't start the car when it's hot.

This video shows the two starters next to each other being bench tested on the ground and also cold and hot starts in the car.

This is being put onto my Third Gen 1990 Chevy Camaro with a 350 small block chevy in it. The engine is a mild build with around 10:1 compression ratio. This car has Vortec heads and a Comp Cams camshaft.

The mini Starter seen in this video is directly from Summit racing and can be found at the below link.
