In 2022 together with my very good friend Adrian I had embarked on an epic 10 day euro trip. We fished in 3 different countries with the grand finale at Lake Bled in Slovenia. Lake Bled proved to be 4 difficult days of fishing, and at the end of it we only had 2 very small carp to show for it. We were severely underprepared for what fishing Lake Bled entails. Not being mobile enough was probably our biggest dissadvantage, but the fact that we were tired and sleeping at most 3 hours per night did not help. Although the trip was difficult, while we fishing we met Rene, a fellow carp angler from Germany, and over the last year we'd become good friends.

It was truly a humbling adventure which I don't think I'll ever be able to forget. From the moment we wrapped up the trip, I felt like I had unfinished business, I desperately needed to come back and get even.
