This is an amethyst with clear quartz, basalt gossan, chalcedony, and calcite. It also has some chalcedony and quartz replacement of minerals like fluorite and calcite. These are pseudomorphs. A pseudomorph is a mineral that has replaced another while keeping the distinct shape of the former. This specimen is a lot of fun and part of a test project I'm starting to elevate some of the cards that are sent out with my mineral specimens. So thank you Mr. G for being my guinea pig!
