A new fissure just erupted in Kilauea's populated east rift zone, specifically within its Nāpau Crater. This has resulted in more than 20 acres of land being covered by more than 100,000 cubic meters of molten rock, but this thankfully occurred far away from structures. However, as the current eruption continues, there is a risk that lava could erupt even further to the east, which this video will analyze from the opinion of a geologist.
