The first task in offshore kayak fishing is to catch live opelu (scad mackeral) and the perfect 6 inch sized ones were caught with the Completely Hooked Lures Minnow but the large predators weren't around. So I tried to load up on the 12 inch opelu to take home for kau kau (food) but they and the other tackle busters kept breaking the damashi rig. Eventually I ran out of damashi rigs and quit. 2 of my favorite Minnow colors are revealed.
