Inauguration of Rugabano Tea Company, a subsidiary of Luxmi Tea India, and it will process a million kilos of premium tea annually.

Generally, tea is grown on 27,759 hectares across 12 districts. There are about 42,840 tea farmers.

The company's factory becomes the 18th tea factory operating in Rwanda.

The factory will have an industrial block of 438 hectares and out-grower scheme of over 4,000 hectares.

More than 400 households have been initially expropriated and resettled in new houses.
